Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 10:08 AM by themaguffin
Jesus people we have too many almost the same threads and even some related ones are ridiculous. How many damn SNL topics were posted this weekend? And on that note, are we Republicans without a sense of humor? Are you not aware of satire?

And I come in this morning and see Hillary - Ron Paul threads...

I also would recommend a sticky for polls. Or at least use an existing one.

It's ridiculous to see new poll threads every day.

1. Saturation posting is a strategy, not an accident.

12. It works very well here, too.
When Obama associated with some supposedly homophobic guy and refused to condemn him, we had dozens of threads per day on the subject. They repeated the same claims over and over. Anyone who dared to even utter a peep in protest at the strategy was the immediate subject of scorn, censure, and claims of discounting the importance of the offended parties.

We see similar approaches to slander of various candidates or any other subject that either excites the masses or is part of someone's agenda. Simple annoyance is enough to bring traffic to threads and awareness of a given point.

3. A poster can't be the center of attention if he/she doesn't post his/her own thread on a topic.

6. Right on the cycle
Seems like every so often we have to bitch about what people are posting.

Here's a hint: Don't respond to them and the will swirl down the toilet.

Or: Hit ignore and then you won't be bothered by them again.

10. I hear ya but it is impossible to control....
I'd rather see 100 Obama SNL threads than 100 Anna Nicole threads though....

14. Here's a challenge: hide every thread initiated on Kucinich's impeachment bill.
Let's see how that goes....
