I throwing this out there knowing that DU'ers are very diversified....and that's why I ask.

1. With Obama, there will be no War with Iran.
So, we will all win.

8. Why was he AWOL on Kyl-Lieberman?
Hillary was there to vote to give Bush the go ahead to bomb Iran, while Dodd and Biden were there to deny Bush another war authorization.

19. Because NV Billary campaign chairman Rory's Reid daddy Harry pulled a bait-and-switch
Thanks for the Billary spokesman Harold Wolfson talking point, though. It deflects from Billary's
warmongering, neocon vote, doesn't it?

Obama was there until Reid said there wouldn't be a vote. Then Reid "changed" his mind while Obama was
at a NH rally, giving Obama only an hour to get back at surprise notice.

Besides, as most intelligent people know, his nay vote wouldn't have made a difference as the measure passed
with the help of Vichy Democrats like Billary by large margin.

3. Interesting question because IMO DUers are polarized on several issues such that "Collective"
Interests or something like a compromise is virtually impossible.

Peace over greed/politics is in our best interests, I'd say.

5. Biden can get elected and he will end the war!
The war is the most important issue because as long as we are throwing money at the war machine, there won't be any money for any of the social programs we all love.

9. Richardson
He has the experience of pushing legislation through resistant legislatures even when the legislation is controversial. He'd end the war immediately. He's got a very solid plan on reducing green house gas emissions and has pushed through a solid plan in NM. He's got the best record on civil rights. He has the experience to engage other countries and rebuild international relationships.

11. No need for apologies.
I still support the guy but he's become the Rodney Dangerfield of candidates around here at DU, lately. Realistically, he needs a break out performance at the next debate to regain some of his earlier momentum.

13. What? You took my candidate away.
Put back Gravel! :)

So, I voted for Kucinich, because he is running and he best reflects DU progressive nature.

Gore would be my first choice if he was running. He's not nearly as progressive as Kucinich, but his anti-war, environmental positions, and experience/electablility are factors for me.

Winning isn't everything. We have to ask what we won if we elect a DINO. If we come down to an election between to corporate candidates, I will probably vote independent.

17. Biden - his focus goes beyond Iraq and Iran. He understands the need for
good U.S. relations with the rest of the middle east. The other day he communicated with Pakistan, President Musharraf to express concern and encourage strong security for former Prime Minister Bhutto as she returns to the country.

He has the big picture firmly in mind - what's needed to ensure cooperation and peace for the U.S. in the future.

Our future in the world is in our collective best interests.

People on these boards ignore him, but if they knew more about his experience and accomplishments, they might be a lot more interested in him.
