If you want to end bigotry in this world, then you cannot support Obama now. Period.

41. Clearly, there are differences, but there are also similarities.
To conclude that there is entirely nothing that they share is ludicrous.

I am honored, fwiw, to share the same view with Coretta Scott King and Desmond Tutu.

34. My refusal to equate the two does not mean that the GLBT movement isn't important.
I simply do not wish to equate them. They're different. Does it make one more important than the other? No.

37. Never said anything about one being more important.
But every time you are provided speeches and statements by prominent African American community elders, you fall silent.

So, once and for all, do you disagree with Desmond Tutu, Amiri Baraka and Coretta Scott King?

40. Would you like me to dig up quotes from other black leaders stating the opposite view?
It's just a disagreement on my part. The point is that my refusal to adhere to your comparison does not devalue my respect for human rights.

46. Go for it. And I'll continue to add to mine.
And at the end of the day, the one that finds the most "leaders" that agree with their viewpoint, do they win a prize?

Not for nothing, Coretta Scott King proclaimed that if her husband were still alive, he'd been fighting for LGBT equality. I think that pretty much trumps all. Unless you think Martin Luther King, Jr. doesn't qualify as a major African American community leader.

I'm also an atheist. He respects my right to not believe in any god and he supports gay rights. I think you and people who agree with you are actually bringing people around to support Obama by being so ridiculous with these statements. He's made his position VERY clear.

Donnie McClurkin is not running for President. If you don't like Obama, find a candidate you like.

Funny, Kucinich has a good record on gay rights, yet I don't see a tsunami of support going over to him. Is it because he's in SINGLE digits in the polls?

Hypocritical maybe?
