3. I wish people wouldn't compare Bush to Hitler...
I mean, at least Hitler came into power with a terrible economy and created jobs.

15. Also
Hitler was a decorated front-line combat veteran, and when he was elected, he got more votes than the other guy.

So yes, it's true the Bush/Hitler comparisons are way off.

5. Um....JFK = John Forbes Kerry
I know using the initials does create that association, but...they're his initials.

This is a tit-for-tat post, and a great example of not asking a question you don't already know the answer to.

18. Things I've learned in GD2004, #1
1) Rich people can't be liberal. Period. If a rich person is claiming to be liberal, they're probably a Rovian plant, or part of a conspiracy of some sort.

19. I didnt say couldnt be liberal but i dont like when rich people esp rich
liberals tell me they know the problems of the working class ordinary average americans middle class etc cause they dont and it feels like they referring to us like a strange tribe from ia text book.I used to go to a private school because i had a full scholarship any way there were lots of stupid rich kids who were like oh yeah i know the problems of the working class i read about them in a magazine they would have no fucking clue how sometimes you have to really think before going to the doctor because of cost since you have no insurance or crappy insurance or worrying about how can they can afford to go to college or trying to find a way to pay your own way they wont have to they will go to college and it will be paid by mommy and daddy just like their cars and designer jeans

20. OK...
So we're allowing them to be liberal, but they can't try to represent people who aren't upper-class. If they try to associate with the working class, their being patronizing.

On this note, why go to college at all? The only valid teaching tool would appear to be experience.

11. All candidate's supporters should compare their man to other people
That's what the nominating process is about.

14. I read this as "comparing Kerry to people who work for a living and
then claiming he understands their plight."

16. Perhaps when threads reference other threads, the referenced threads
should be included for the people who "had to be there."

17. I saw the other one. It's just that the words "no connection to people"
makes me think of people who don't expereince America quite like people who experience it like people who have to work for a living.
