How is it possible for anyone to care if Edwards wins?
I've been at DU for a long time, and I didn't come here to be a candidate advocate. I came here arguing about race, taxes, encroaching fascism, Venezuela and the crappy media. Ask anyone who has been here as long as I have been.

The only reason I'm so passionate about Edwards is because I'm even more passionate about the issues which originally brought me here.

My question is, how could anyone possibly NOT care that Edwards wins?

1. I don't care at all. I am not passionately against him...
But since he's almost exactly the same as the other guy, it means nothing to me either way.

2. My sentiments exactly.
I don't think either will bring about substantive change.

4. I'm pretty much the same at this point
I don't much care for either of the remaining candidates, and I no longer feel that I have much of a stake in the outcome of the primaries.

3. The only reason I care if Edwards gets the nomination
is because that would keep Kerry from getting the nomination.

5. I don't want kerry more than I care about Edwards.
I'll support Edwards for that purpose.

7. Simply not ready for the job, and not as strong a candidate
In these times, Edwards is simply not as strong a candidate when it comes to the "gatekeeper" issue of national security, and, in my opinion, he doesn't have the experience that would make him ready for the job of President (with the other remaining candidate more ready only due to many more years of working within the government).

Not sure which is your question, but I only slightly care that Kerry get the nomination over Edwards. Kerry's voting baggage and droning demeanor somewhat offset Edwards' total lack of experience, but I'd prefer going in with Kerry's (albeit light) national security credentials.

At this point, it's out of my hands and I'll vote for either come November. I just think Kerry's a better candidate than Edwards; just like Clark was a better candidate than either.
