Dean's Secret Energy Committee Meetings
The AP is running this:
Dec. 28, 2003 | WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic presidential contender Howard Dean has demanded release of secret deliberations of Vice President Dick Cheney's energy task force. But as Vermont governor, Dean had an energy task force that met in secret and angered state lawmakers.

Dean's group held one public hearing and after-the-fact volunteered the names of industry executives and liberal advocates it consulted in private, but the Vermont governor refused to open the task force's closed-door deliberations.

In 1999, Dean offered the same argument the Bush administration uses today for keeping deliberations of a policy task force secret.

"The governor needs to receive advice from time to time in closed session. As every person in government knows, sometimes you get more open discussion when it's not public," Dean was quoted as saying.

What do the Dean folks on here have to say about this?

1. For the fourth time, I still have no comment.

I believe if you go to www.blogforamerica.com, you will see that he responded to this.

Thanks so much for continuing the attacks against our candidates.

On Edit, I did your research for you.
SNIP..."Dean's campaign said it was "laughable" to compare the two. "Governor Dean confronted and averted an energy crisis that would have had disastrous consequences for the citizens of Vermont by bringing together a bipartisan and ideologically diverse working group that solved the problem," spokesman Jay Carson said Sunday.

"Dick Cheney put together a group of his corporate cronies and partisan political contributors, and they gave themselves billions and disguised it as a national energy policy."..."

3. blogforamerica.com
Hmm. Who is that? Wonder if Karl Rove will be providing a link to that site when Dean begins his General Election campaign? Somehow I think not. How many voters do you think will bother to go to blogforamerica.com when they hear that Dean has held secret energy meetings?

Why do you think I'm attacking your candidate? Do you think for one second that I want to see * in the WH for 1 more second?

This needs to be answered NOW. And you can't sweep it under the rug as just another attack by a non Dean partisan.

7. I just put the CNN link for you.
I edited my post. Do you really not realize how many times that has been posted today? Exuberantly, usually. At least you were not exuberant.

2. Can you equate
meetings of a policy task force, i.e., public servants, with meetings with business interests and other private entities? Othwerwise, the comparison doesn't wash.
