3. Not Much to Choose From, Is There?
If the GOP is smart, they'd nominate Ron Paul or Huckabee. Those two talk just enough sense to be plausible, and not so much as to scare away the base.

If we are lucky, they'll pick Giuliani, assuming he isn't indicted or imprisoned before the Convention.

4. Brownback.
I don't really think he'll be their nominee but the whole pack is so miserable that Brownback might just be competitive.

Quite a sorry bunch of nominees the Republicans are handing the country this time.

6. I think you're right
I picked Romney because I don't think the Republicans will be able to resist his hair (just partially joking), but, if he doesn't get the nomination, Rudy makes sense as a VP pick for any of them. He plays well in the northeast and will force us to contest some states that we normally take for granted.

8. Romney
This guy was trying to be Reagan 2.0, before Thompson even got into the race.

I actually think he's the frontrunner in this race. Giuliani will eventually get taken down by the social issues. Thompson is going nowhere fast. Besides FR types, he doesn't have that much support out there.

Once Romney wins Iowa and New Hampshire, he'll gain enough strength to hold off Giuliani in the bigger states.

And this makes me happy, since I think Romney is easier to beat than Giuliani.
