1. I will continue to publish polls of an oddly neurotic nature and continue
to drive the neocon bus over the cliff.

2. I haven't picked a candidate yet, but if she wins, that means she got the most votes
and I'll have no problem with that. If another one of the field wins, that's fine with me too.

Anyone who leaves a political forum because their preferred candidate doesn't win has some serious growing up to do, IMO.

3. The 'with us or against us' current in your poll is staggering
so you're saying that if Hil gets the nomination and people try and cite facts about her that are relevant, that these facts should be ignored.

It's thinking like that that got us where we are today. :eyes:

...the poll says if she wins the nom. Regardless of who wins the nom, "with us or against us" becomes the rule of the land around here.

6. Pretty much what I'm doing now...
...just try to put her out of my mind and off my typing fingers. There are a lot of other democratic issues that don't involve who is or is not our candidate.

She's probably my last choice as far as the Democratic candidates go, but I will vote for her if she's the nominee in the hopes that she will at least have some good people around her.

- I don't vote on hypotheticals that could equally be applied to many other candidates at this point before the primaries start. This poll assumes an outcome that is by no means certain from many people's perspective here.

13. Perhaps if HRC is the nominee, those of us who would gladly leave voluntarily
would be allowed to without having to abandon our accounts here or being banned ourselves. There ought to be a mechanism put in place by Skinner and/or Elad where those who wish to leave can do so without prejudice and without abandoning our information here and (thereby) remaining on the rolls.

I have a feeling I am not the only one who will wish to do so should she get the nomination, and we should be allowed to leave, peacefully and respectfully, and without remaining on the membership rolls.

drop politics altogether for a while. I volunteered probably far more than 40 hours for the Kerry campaign, and he lost. I will not volunteer one minute for Hillary. I will vote, but I will not work for a phony establishment puppet like Hillary.

diminished by its nominee? I love the Democratic Party very much. I am proud of many things it has done. I am not sure what I will do if she is the nominee. It will be very very hard for me to vote for her. I have never had to before vote for a nominee that violated my principles.I do not know what I will do.

You are not making it any easier for me to pull the lever for her. I will work my tail off for all the other downline candidates no matter who is nominated..

53. I don't believe I said hideous and I very much explained that post.
I have also posted when I thought she looked great. I had wondered why they let her go out like that. I meant my post. I am sick of some "twisting it". It has become bizarre the way no one can mention anything physical about Hillary without some going nuts. Even "praise is not allowed. Too "sexist" to mention when she looks good. I do not disparage her looks. I said that was not her best appearance. Sue me. I love John Kerry and I once told him his TV makeup was too orange, big fricken deal. At least I do not continually disparage other posters.

Your other thread asserts that the number of people to be banned is half of all DUers. So far, 7 of the 100+ respondents would possibly be banned under DU rules.

7% of respondents does not equal "half" of all members of DU. At the moment, it means seven people total.

the country cannot survive another 4 more years of GOP rightwing rule. Secession or armed resistance would be preferable to having another 4 years of tyranny.

As to posting, I will continue to express a progressive point of view (we all know that progressives are not monolithic), but particularly, I will continue to oppose wars abroad and loss of civil liberties at home.

when I supported Clark I couldn't STAND Kerry. He was a member of the Skull and Bones fraternity like Bush and I felt he stole Clark's ideas. I REALLY didn't like him. But when he won the nomination I slowly came around to liking him (compared to Bush) and I ended up wearing a Kerry '04 t-shirt and voting for him.
