"Married, 2 children; Married one child; married, wife Elizabeth, etc. These were

how our dead troops were described as CNN paid tribute to our troops today----about noon CT.
I do not have cable but was watching at a friends house today so do not know if this was new.
I generally watch Jim Lehrer News Hr where he runs the dead troops names at end of the show, but PBS does not give the family status. I think it is a great idea----lets the viewers know that families are losing a dad (or mom) and kids growing up with a parent. So much for family values.

I sent cnn "This Week at War" show a Thank you:

1. This is not new. They do it every week on their show "This Week at War."
Really puts faces and stories to the numbers.

2. The very least the media should be doing is keeping these names
and families in our consciousness.

6. Yes, and I really appreciate that about his show. Recognizing the
soldier's survivors would be a good further step. My wife and I always make it a point to try to read all the names, ages, and places of origin. They do scroll kind of fast, though.
