Then we'd hear more from the candidates who think a good direction to be moving in is 'forward'. The candidates who think 'better' might be a good idea.

Yeah. I'm a little tired of front-runner mania. I'd like to think there's a choice.

It's good to see Richardson hanging in there. And DK, of course.

1. That would force all of the "front runners" out of the race
And you wouldn't want to nominate someone who was entirely unelectable, would you? :eyes:

2. I'm sure that won't be necessary, as Democratic voters will surely reject those candidates

3. Which Democrats are pro-occupation?
Edwards wants to pull out all our troops except enough to guard the American embassy and whatnot.

Hillary opposes any permanent bases but "She believes we may need a vastly reduced residual force to train Iraqi troops, provide logistical support, and conduct counterterrorism operations. But that is not a permanent force, and she has been clear that she does not plan a permanent occupation." (from her Web site: http://hillaryclinton.com/issues/iraq/)

Obama would end all combat operations within a year.

So, who's pro-occupation?

4. I'm thinking of this.
"10/02/07—At the Democratic presidential candidates' debate on September 26, the three top-polling candidates declined to promise that they would remove U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of their first term in office--that is, January 2013. Although these statements put the Democrat "frontrunners" squarely at odds with the American public--the majority of whom favor a more timely withdrawal, according to recent polls--they were cheered by several top journalists and pundits, who saw this as a signal that the candidates were distancing themselves from anti-war voters."

2013?!?!

Not as good as 2009.

Four years not as good.
