A big thank you to Dr. Dean
Like many, I am saddened that Dean will not be the nominee. But this is not about one man. This is about the big picture. What Dr. Dean DID do, is something that in many ways is more important than his bid for the White House... he woke up a sleeping giant. Our party, including all of our nominees, has been fighting.

Dr. Dean said this was about US. His departure does not change that. It is still about us. Therefore, if you truly support the good Dr. you will still heed his call to TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!

ABB, baby.

1. If it weren't for the HD campaign, our candidates would not be as
strong as they are now. Howard made them take off their pink tutus. I would like to see him head the DNC.

4. I thought that Dr. Dean
did an excellent job today. It was the Howard Dean that first wanted to run for president. I hope he stays involved and becomes a contributing member of the democratic future. We need to get back the house and the white house. He can get his supporters to go out and run for office and or assist those who are. It would be a great service to the people of the United States.

7. Yes
a mighty HUGE debt.

I'm sorry how things turned out, I was in the Doctor's camp.

Having said that, he helped the Dems find their voices and their spines.

I love that man for all the good he's done.

And I hope our party compensates him in some way.

6. I give credit to Dean for rescuing our party from extinction.
I remember how defeated we all felt after the '02 election. Dr. Dean sparked a fire that had been smoldering within, and he gave way for all Democrats to stand up and fight for our cause. While he may not be the nominee, he stood up against the bu$h machine when so many felt that they could not. I will always respect him for that.

11. Dean proved how wrong the 2002 tactics of appeasement were
In 2002, Democratic candidates fell all over themselves to appear they were Bush supporters. The Democratic Party got it butt handed to it, and lost control of Congress as a result.

Dean stepped up to the plate when Democrats were further down than ever before in modern political history and told them to be proud of their beliefs, and that they had the ability to take control of the political discussion again.

Howard Dean changed the political landscape with his campaign and remade the Democratic Party into fighters again. Whoever beats Bush in 2004 will only win because of the work Dean did in the last 2 years.

9. Dean's a peach --
-- and most party people know it and are grateful.

I hope to hear his voice for a long, long time in all things Democratic.

I think among his many gifts to the party this time is that he woke the goddam press up from its Bush-Is-Lord slumber. Dean splashed the cold water on Blitzer and Koppel and that whole bunch. They'd been in a coma for years.

10. He ain't done yet!
I think Dean and those of us who supported him will continue to make a difference in the democratic party. Dean gave it backbone when the rest of the party(with exceptions for Byrd, Kennedy and a few others) rolled over. I heard that he didn't want to leave his supporters just dangling out there like happened with Perot. And there is a lot of power in 700,000 people who will donate money. I am very sorry he will not be our candidate because I think he would have given the party and the country back to the people. But if he organizes to take back the house and senate and keep them on track for the ordinary people of this country he will make a HUGE difference. Go DEAN!
