2. Webb's a good guy
At least some of our people are not completely spineless and/or asleep at the switch.

4. Some of Our People are not only spineless, they are promoting "endless war"
We need to kick *all* the warmongering democratic leadership in our party to the curb. :grr:

6. Breathe deeply, relax completely
Visualize a babbling brook. Hear the water cheerfully babbling over the rocks. Feel its coolness on your hands and wrists. Look down now and see your hands wrapped around the neck of your least favorite enabling Democratic Senator or Representative, holding him or her firmly beneath the icy waters. Watch the bubbles rise playfully from their flairing nostrils. You let him/her up for a quick breath of air and then **BLAM** back under the frigid waters.

There ... don't you feel better now???

I hear ya, mate.

5. He was an Ass Kicking SECNAV back in the 80's.
No ambiguity, you always knew where the man stood on issues.

7. I worked for a defense contractor in those days
Had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times. He was intense, too straight forward for Washington. It is clear that he has never stopped learning or re-examining his views on things, which I can see have evolved quite a bit, especially on domestic policy.

What got me really intrigued about Webb was an article he wrote back in 04 explaining his views on economic policy ... quite a shift from Reagan era thinking and extremely well articulated.

13. That doesn't even make sense...
Usually when you call someone a coward and a sell out...it's about the person

14. Disagree. IMO when people get to name calling,
it's an indication that they're very upset. Seems to me that people usually aren't thinking the most clearly when they're that upset, so they probably would express themselves more clearly after they calm down.

While I'm sure you're right about some being moved to dislike him personally for his votes, I'd be willing to bet ya dollars to doughnuts that most are more sensible about it, and just dislike the way he votes sometimes, even if they call him names at the time, due to the outrage.

Then again, there's a small group of people who just call people names for fun, and seem to really enjoy being assholes, and are even proud of it...

:hi:

15. Some of you have history on him, some of us don't. I can't trust him
so far, but the vote against bombing in Iran (my interpretation) will wipe away a few minor votes, but not the spying one. I hope there won't be any more wrong side votes that have to be wiped away.

War and our Constitution. It's everything. There are not enough life loving leaders in the Democratic leadership ranks.

It would take St. Francis to convince me that voting for killing families and soldiers is OK.

I thank him for being for life on this vote.

The Iranian people did not deserve that vote by all those Yea voters. Yea for death, dismemberment, destruction, deceit, debt. Yea for their unChristian and unJewish votes. What traitors.

So, if any of you meet him soon - tell him some people from other states said thank you.

16. Yeah, funny, isn't it?
The one that Hillary voted against!

Only Obama seems to be consistent these days.
