Censure this, Dems
"When Republicans act like Democrats, America loses. It's time for Republicans to start acting like Republicans. It's time for a change, and change begins with us."

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/

You do nothing about the framing that allows people like Mitt Romney to equate Democrats with all that is wrong for America. They
defend their record which consists of trashing America with name calling and smash mouth campaigning. Stand up and defend
US for a change.

1. Rommey is rolling steadily along---only Rudy is in his way right now. I hear he won
the straw poll in Michigan.

3. The thing is the only chance we get
is on Forums like Democratic Underground. And most of the people on these sites are democrats and love America. We can't get our comments posted on any of the other sites. The Fray at Slate used to be pretty good, but in guise of kicking off people who didn't agree with bush and the republicans they blocked over half of the liberal leaning posters. Now it is mostly republicans and I just quit.

We have no say in the MSM. Oh, yes we do get an occasional letter published in newspapers, but that's because they are the rare breed, open minded. Look at the talk shows, all republicans most of the time. So how can we get our messages out? We know that the media won't change, no matter what, they are owned lock, stock and barrel by the republicans. And the people who read the news stuck in front of them do so because they like their jobs. No matter what until we get the Fairness Doctrine and a bi-partisan person in charge of the FCC we are screwed.

4. Move On has pointed the way
It was repeated verbatim and it is now out there, and when losses occur as they inevitably will because the focus of this
group has always been about campaigning and NOT governing. They manage pr minutely while the war is a complete fiasco
because they care about the photo ops and the rhetoric. Their dream is that the perfect phrase or slogan
or ad will resonate with the American people and turn the polls around. They will never understand that governing
is about being flexible and development of a workable strategy, governing to them is eliminating the competition
and having their own way all the time. It is like Tonya Harding clubbing Nancy Kerrigan to get ahead. As if
winning after that means anything.

We have to frame our messages so that they get attention and get repeated and start framing the debate so that
people will see through the GOP spin.
