If anyone has links to factual sites which refute the following statements, please contribute them.

1. “Sectarian violence” is down in Iraq as a whole.
2. The troop surge was responsible for the reduction of violence in Anvar province.
3. We are not arming the Sunni fighters in Anvar.
4. The Iraqi national police is a viable institution.
5. Empowering the Sunni fighters in Anvar is a sustainable solution and will not inevitably lead to conflict with the Shea in Bagdad and the south, and with the Kurds in the north.

I'm sure there's more.

I really didn't appreciate all the time he spent shooting down this straw dog. No one in the loop is suggesting we immediately, completely pull out. It's a fucking Republican talking point.

Not a direct lie, but that's how these guys work - paint a picture of the sun going around the earth - yes, the sun exists, yes, the earth exists, yes, the sun rises in the east, etc etc - but the basic "picture" is all wrong.
