The moveon ad was effective for this reason:
Everyone is talking about it. Plus, for those out there who were about to be snowed by lies and betrayals, before the event, they were made aware that there is a group out there with influence that is not going to buy the bs. This group is letting the people know, pre-emptively, that they are already aware, because of leaks and media reports, that Petreaus was going to lie and spin and betray our trust as he has done in the past.

Moveon tells the truth and gets slammed by the media, where the swift-boaters lie and get plenty of air time to do it.

1. Exactly
But it wasn't only the media that slammed their efforts, some here at DU got on that same train and joined in with the slammers.

2. Well, duh.
I'm laughing at all the people that claimed it was "poor marketing."

Jesus Christ.
