Don't know much about history...but I do know A LOT about faces.

They are pretty much my stock in trade.



So here's what I did.
- I righted each image, so that the eyes are level horizontally.

- I got rid of all the color. Color LIES.

- I scaled each image until the eyes were the same distance apart. And as a check I measured from one hairline on the side of the eye to the other.
I had to work to the smallest image, so all of them are very small. If I had large clear images it would've been better. (but maybe not helpful to others????)

- I did away with the "new" dark beard and cloned in the next youngest beard values. That black beard was too distracting. I did NOT touch the moustach so as not to affect the nose.

Osama has a distincive shape to his face. Triangular. With very sharp planes to the cheeks. I took a magnet lasso and simplified the shape, using the oldest image. You can take that section and still tell it is Osama. I took that outline and did the same with the other two. It holds true for the second image as well. It looks like Osama. The third face simply won't fit the simplified form.

If you have Photoshop select the black mask (taken from the OLDEST image) at the bottom and extract it. Then move it over each face and try to line up features. The first two work well. In the third, the nose is too long. The face is the wrong shape.

In # 1 he is looking up slightly. In #2 straight on. Compare this eyebrow to iris distance to # 3. The distance from eyebrows to iris is longer in #3. His left eyebrow on the last image are problematic too. It is more arched than the other two.

I'm not saying it's not O.B.L., but if it is the last 3 years have been rather hard on his face.


If someone can get recent clear images, I'd love to play with them instead of the tiny crappy image out there now.

There is purpose-made software out there that can do such comparisons rather easily. I would expect, however, that it is rather expensive.

I sure wouldn't mind a few hours with it and a competent operator, however. And the above pictures, too.

3. GREAT JOB! I wouldn't know how to do that, but it confirms my

thoughts that the new video is a fake. I listened to the words used in this most recent video, and it just doesn't sound like the way Osama thinks to me. I told my hubby tonight that I thought it was a composit video made by the DOD or some Gov't Intel agy. Something just isn't right with it. After seeing your analysis of the pics, I am now wondering if I am wrong on the composit part. It may well be a real new shoot, but the "actor" is the fake!

If that's true, how would they ever get it past Al Jazeera? Surely those folks aren't that gullible!!

Since the propaganda value to the Bushies is in what he is SAYING, why aren't people taking the voice morphing possibilities more seriously? It is probably pretty easy to take older canned videos and add new voice tracks on demand.

The man in the picture on the left is supposed to be bin Laden in October 2001 . The picture on the right is indisputably bin Laden in December

9. The nose is wrong, too

The undoubted Osama pictures show a nose where the nostrils flare out at the bottom. The third picture shows a far more triangular nose, with straight sides and a slightly blobby appearance.

Also, Osama's right eyebrow has a sharp crook about 2/3 of the way out from the nose, while the left one is more smoothly curved. Although it's harder to tell, I don't see any sign of that crook in the third picture.

anyone in his right mind think that OBL is concerned one witt about the color of his beard? He has not been, during his entire lifetime, from what I've read, EVER concerned with his appearance. He's a fanatical extremist totally wrapped up in power and violence and his "cause." He's only interested in money, it seems, to the extent it furthers his interests.

He had the option of living in a mansion, wearing the best robes/clothes, drinking out of silver cups, having his hair and nails groomed by professionals. He was a multi-millionaire. But he became a radical extremist instead.

I don't believe for a second that OBL would dye his beard.
