4. Uh, That's The Point

I presume you are talking about Michelle Obama's interview in which she referred to her husband as "stinky and snore-y".

It may not be right, but we live in a country where people want to feel that the person they elect President is "ordinary" and can relate to them. It's not the best criteria for picking a leader, but it is what people do.

Michelle Obama is trying to let people know that despite Obama's rock star aura and this mantle of near perfection many attribute to him - Barack really is just another guy. He doesn't put his dirty socks in the hamper, he snores and he has some less than pleasant smells.

You know, sounds like lots of guys.

6. I think you're giving Michelle too much credit. Maybe she just enjoys

putting her husband down in front of other people. She has done it numerous times since the campaign started.

I have a friend whose husband has "jokingly" put her down for the last twenty years -- and all it does is lower HIM in my estimation. It makes me very uncomfortable. I think someone should tell Michelle to stop it now, before it's too late.

7. It depends on the relationship. Obama can hold his own against his wife. He will not let anyone

walk on him. On the other hand, I have seen women afraid to say something back to their spouse because they do not want to cause a problem.
