I watched in smug astonishment as Larry Craig firmly stated that he was NOT GAY! I'm sure the gay community is thankful for that!

The point this blockhead is missing is that MOST of America is more troubled by the fact that HE IS A PERVERT!

"Peeking" into stalls in a men's restroom is just plain sick! Especially when you see the tight configuration of the stalls in THAT restroom. He must have stuck his EYE right up to the slots between the door for that cop to have seen his eye color. That is unacceptable in ANY case! There is no argument he can make that makes THAT ok!

And he's worried about being perceived as GAY? He can only hope that's the perception people take from this episode!

If this is the logic he uses in the Senate, Idaho & the rest of us would be better off w/o him; he is not mentally capable of making a logical argument. What a dim wit!

This just confirms for us women that men's restrooms are indeed scary & abominable pits of filth!

I have heard men's restrooms are like that basement in 'Silence of the Lambs'. Body parts, hanging out all over the place. what the initiating behavior for sex in a reststop etc are, but peeking into someones' stall like that in an airport? Sorry, nothing wrong with whatever kinda sex you wanna have with consenting adults, but the thought of sitting down to drop the kids off at the pool and having some creepy bastard peek into the stall creeps me out.

either. But I think it is sadly understandable behavior for a 62 year old man who grew up in a society that condemned ALL homosexuality as a perversion and deviant.

And people should be aware that when they use the word pervert against a man who -- whatever sleezy behaviors he engaged in -- also happens to be gay, they run the risk of opening old wounds in the gay community. The words "perv," "pervert," and "deviant" have a long history of use as slurs against gay people in general.

But, perhaps you didn't know this - those 3 children of Larry's are not his biological children.
Shortly after the 1982 Page Boy scandal broke in the news, Larry married a woman he hardly knew.
A woman who had been recently divorced, a woman who had 3 kids of her own to feed, clothe, and care for.

Larry married a woman who had a ready-made family - so he could portray himself as "a family man".
