3. I was just wondering if they locked sometimes because of the posts
inside the thread or because they didn't read the thread the first time

after 50some posts - my original post wasn't inflammatory, but the mod felt that the thread turned into sort of a non-productive flamefest. But really, I think a lot of the delay is because there's no way on earth to keep track of all of the threads all the time.

edit for stupid punctuation (get a brain, comma!)

4. Wrong forum.
You should post this in ATA. It's not proper material for GD-P2004.

11. no problemo
Its way down at the bottom of the list of forums.. sometimes easy to miss.

Any questions about why/how things happen on the boards are usually supposed to go there.

Don't sweat it... was an accident.

10. I think he was asking about the locking in this forum. It's relevant here
The locking seems to vary with the forum.

No, it's NOT relevant.
The ATA forum exists specifically to answer questions like this, genius.

13. Never takes them that long to catch up with me.
This afternoon I started a thread that mentioned Kerry in passing in a very neutral sort of way--the was really about something else--and they had it locked down just about before I hit the SEND button. I was amazed at their speed. Also at their unforgivingness. Last time I made the same mistake, they gave me a chance to edit the thread & save it (although I had gone off to do something else & missed the notice, thereby getting it locked down anyway).
