1. I second Prosense's recommendation
Senator Kerry chaired this hearing where among others, Nickolas Burns, testified.

All of the people before the committee and the committee members there (Kerry, Lugar, Feingold - are the ones that come to mind) shared the information and opinions they have on Pakistan.

This was one of the most serious, respectful discussions I have ever heard in the Senate.

3. That hearing explained so much about Pakistan
The idea that you say you would possibly attack a country when they are currently on your side and where there is a very fragile, extremely dangerous situation is mindboggling.

This hearing speaks of some of the very delicate things that the US is supporting to try to reduce the danger of this power keg. The amazing thing is that even though Burns represents Bush (and was less than open on A. Q. Khan) this was a very non-partisan, mature discussion of the situation. Senators Kerry, Lugar and Feingold were excellent. (I think Biden, Obama and Dodd were not at the sub-committee's hearing)

I still have no candidate I support and with this it may stay that way.
