Would a Pelosi presidency steal Hillary's thunder as First Female President?

We know Hillary (or at least Carville) played a part in making sure Kerry didn't challenge the vote in '04. Could this be a reason why impeachment may be off the table?

4. If impeachment goes through as planned

the next President will still be a Republican, not Pelosi, and here's why.

The strategy right now is to impeach Cheney First. Although getting minimal press coverage, 15 Congressman are now Co-signers to House Res. 333. Once Cheney is impeached and removed, Bush can be expected to appoint a successor, who will be a Republican, of course. If Kucinich is worth his salt that's when he'll introduce a measure to impeach Bush. Bush would probably resign at this point, as he hasn't been running the country anyway and really doesn't want the hassle. The appointee, the new Gerald Ford, would then become President.

that if Cheney were impeached, he'd resign, and Bush would nominate a replacement. The congress would never refuse to confirm a qualified replacement, then impeach Bush, too. It would be seen as a coup, and rightly so.

But it's all just talk, because nobody's getting impeached, much less both of them simultaneously. But if it were to happen, Cheney'd resign, and Bush would appoint John Warner, or former Senator John Danforth, or someone who would be approved with 100% of the congress.

7. Neither Bush nor Cheney would ever resign

because there aren't 66 votes in the Senate to convict and remove. The House, needing a simple majority vote to send article of impeachment to the Senate, could possibly impeach. But these guys are in it for the long term (Jan 09).

I definely think Wes Clark would make a heck of a Secretary of Defense. And I know it sounds hokey. But Bill Clinton would also make a good Secretary of State. He is familiar with world politics and conditions and he can definelty get along with other foreign and domestic politicans.

Patrick Fitzgerald would make an unbiased AG. Also. Then who would she recommend for vice president....they wouldn't have to fill it but it would be nice to have one.

First thing I would do tho is kick rove's ass out on the curb.
