Charlie Rangel just admitted we went to war for Oil on Tucker
"I don't think anyone argues we were well intentioned...but everybody needs oil, and so did we."

I'm slightly paraphrasing...but that's basically what he said.

1. I heard it -- he was saying BushCo should admit that
That was my interpretation, anyway...

5. I'd say, as he voted against the damn thing - he has nothing to admit or apologize
for - unlike some candidates who reinvented themselves as "anti-war" as of 2005.

3. Caught that here, too
He used Tucker like a Swiffer and cleaned the floor with him.

An excellent segment that I hope will find its way to You Tube.

4. Rangel is no oil hungry Bushco enabler -- so I am pretty sure he was refering to Bushco's motives

6. Yes, and the other partner countries, too
It sounded like that when he said "...and others...".

8. Yes, I think he was making a point in a sarcastic way
"Nobody will question their motives if they just say, 'We needed the oil, others needed the oil, and now it's a mess and we need help'" -- that's a bad paraphrase...

9. It sounds like he was being hilariously ironical. Like a school kid

telling his Mum, "I didn't mean him no harm, Mum, but everyone's got to have a cell-phone, or you're not cool...!" It doesn't seem to have been missed by little Tommy Tucker either...! Probably a look of lightly mocking scorn in his eyes only Tommy could see.
