Edited on Mon Jun-25-07 05:09 PM by bigdarryl
You DUMB fuck Obama is running an EXCELLENT!!!campaign and this election is seven to eight months before a single vote is cast Hillary can't go no where else but down and Obama or Edwards for that matter has plenty of time to catch up with her. remember 2004 it was all about DEAN DEAN DEAN!!!by the way Tweety no other candidate attacked Dean people started to wake up and got serious as to who they thought could win against Bush

2. Let us compare Tweety's numbers to Obama
Tweety get about as many watchers each day as Obama gets at a LIVE appearance. If I were Obama, I believe I would continue what I was doing and not take Tweety's advice.
BTW What ever happened to Tweety's brother? Didn't he run as a repug in PA for some state office?

13. Still no response to what was in the memo about Clinton Family Outsourcing Bonanza...
It's top of the first inning on that little piece of information... wait until the next debate when they talk about outsourcing... Senator Clinton may need some new undergarments after that question.

9. Matthews is wrong
fairly or not, Clinton is in a special position. When Lazio attacked her in their senate race in 2000, it backfired horribly on him. First, it appeared unseemly to attack a woman, and second, she was the First Lady of the United States, and when he got aggressive with her, people found that very disconcerting.

It's not fair, but much of that holds true today. Attacks on Clinton from her own party will have to be VERY carefully crafted so as not to turn people off.

10. C'mon, he's like her kid brother
Besides that fact that she's a household name, Obama has to overcome the stature gap. All of the Dem candidates seem like school kids, and she's the teacher. Every time they show up on the same stage, that's their real challenge.

If, by some miracle, they can overcome that, what will they do about all the high-powered endorsements she will drop on them as needed? She will have damn near every respected Dem official out campaigning for her.

This is an uphill battle for everyone else - including the GOP when the general election comes.

31. What's the GOP alternative?
Edited on Mon Jun-25-07 11:36 PM by sampsonblk
They need to maintain their coalition of 1) greed voters, 2) self-righteous voters, and most importantly 3) fundies - they do all the leg work.

The greed voters are a lock. The self-righteous "values" voters aren't going out to vote in droves for Rudy, America's Ex-husband. So he can't maintain the coalition. So Rudy can forget it.

McCain can't keep the fundies. For many reasons. Plus talk radio will crush his campaign. They proclaimed him a Dem in GOP clothing back in 2000, and they can't take it all back now. So he can't pull it off. So McCain can forget it.

Romney is a Mormon. Can't keep the fundies. Like any Republican, he needs them to promote him at every bingo night, and especially on the Sunday before the election - right from the pulpit. Not happening. So Romney can forget it.

Fred Thompson? We shall see. Otherwise, its Hillary's to lose. And I think the other side knows it.

11. What is wrong with republicans...
Is it only in their mind, that a person, like Obama who has good policies, should abandon them and start to attack like the republicans do.

If you see the campaign of republicans that's all they do attack, swiftboat and lie....I suppose he thinks he might sucker Obama into that kind of behavior and put democrats out, like they tune republicans attacks out.

12. Sounds like Tweety is getting bored with the race already...
Seven months until even the first vote is cast must just be too much for some people.

Obama is not the frontrunner this early in the race. Frontrunners this early in the race are staring at the ocean waves wishing they hadn't peaked so soon. Or worse, nobody even knows that they were once a frontrunner.

Building the base ground game never looks "newsworthy" to media catcallers like Tweety. They want riots or screamfests that they can later pick apart and set their MemeGuns on "Destroy".

Horse-shit

Front-runners navigate the ocean waves, because they know how

Staring with their eyes bulged and their tongues hanging out is for those gurgling and choking

in the winner's wake

There are many others who were frontrunners in past races as well.

Are you a big fan of the Dewey administration? As good as President Hart's?

Agree that it is sheer bordeom, that these morons have cranked up the presidential race in the media sound bubble two years in advance ...

Disagree about the sweeping statement about the front runner ... Maybe, maybe not ...

He's looking at it as a potential opportunity for Obama to retaliate in spades, in response to an attack by Hillary.

Lame.

At any rate, Obama counter-punches well (i.e. "You've taken 4.5 years to lead on the war, John," when Edwards went after him in the last debate).

That's what it's all about for talking heads ~ just a story to blab about. Entertainment, not "news."

Some producer is gonna get smart one of these days and do a real news show ~ retro, in black and white. A show like that would be such a welcome relief, it would probably become a cult classic!
