I will have to watch it a couple of times to explain it clearly but I do believe fair elections is a bipartisan issue we can reach out to our republican neighbors and friends with(if we have any left).

It is so, so, so important- the most important thing, for me. No sense working for the next year on any candidate (though I am) if the votes won't be counted.

I had gotten the impression on various boards that Bev Harris had kind of gone of the tracks but I have to say, this video makes a clear argument that this matter is an EMERGENCY!

(sorry, had to remove the direct link to the flick because it went to my own netflix account. Whoops. But you can find it.)

1. Things aren't always as they seem.
Democrats want to stuff the ballot box which involves less emphasis
on voter authentication, and rig the machines.

~Bev Harris 5/9/07

Note that the Democratic Party urgently needs to control and steer election
reform issues,
both for fund-raising reasons (can't muddy the message, need to make it us against the bad Republicans) and because they don't want the attention to shift to their embarrassing role in crafting and pushing HAVA through. Added to that, they want to make sure that any reforms made are things that will benefit the Democrats but not the Republicans.

I'm assuming "they" means Dems, eh? Unfortunately, her reputation precedes her. Did I mention she accused Democrats in Washington State of election fraud? That's one of the states that the US Attorney was FIRED because they didn't PROSECUTE a case that wasn't there. FYI.
