Why do people pay attention to National Dem Polls when there will never be a national Dem Primary?
All I see around here are polls showing Hillary with HUGE leads months before it matters and all this stuff. But these are polls (some of them that are being touted) taken from national surveys of Democrats when there will NEVER be a national Dem primary!!! The primary's are broken down by state...so WTF is the point?

1. very good point...
Having lived in NJ, our primary was *ALWAYS* irrelevant. In many cases, by the time the primary rolled around, all the others had COMPLETELY DROPPED OUT.

I would like to point this out for those who complain about people who don't vote.

In 2006, my congressman, Rob Andrews, ran unopposed in both the primary and the general.

Just because I may not vote under such circumstances doesn't mean I'm not a good citizen.

3. It's more entertainment than anything
I don't think anyone takes national polls seriously until the fall and even then, unless somebody rises above 40% it's meaningless, except looking forward to the GE.

4. If it were just entertainment...then people wouldn't be putting so much faith in them...

Can things change? Certainly.

But you bemoaned national polls while asking for state polls. State polls were provided.
