Obama And Student Switch Roles In The Granite State: "Don't let them stop you, Senator."
WP: Obama And Student Switch Roles In The Granite State

Illinois Sen. Barack Obama usually provides the inspiration for college students as he campaigns for the presidency, but on Saturday it was a graduating student at Southern New Hampshire University who offered him some encouragement.

Okendo Lewis-Gayle, president of the Student Government Association at the university, was one of the speakers at the commencement exercises where Obama delivered the main address.

Taking a page from Obama's standard speech, Okendo said he was proof that someone with a funny name and a person of color could be elected president. As the audience laughed and applauded, Lewis-Gayle looked over at Obama and said, "Don't let them stop you, senator. Don't let them stop you."
