Joe Biden
I have been supporting him for awhile, and it's been tough!

I am excited to see all of the positive comments here, and on other forums for Biden.

If you mean it, if you really thought Biden did great tonite, please tell him. I'm hearing thru the grapevine that if he doesn't raise some serious dinero by the end of this quarter, he may be done.
He's a fighter and I'd hate for him to give up.

Or you can leave a comment on his blog.

Just say "YES" :)

Thanks.

1. I have to say I was impressed with Biden tonight. He definitely has the most
experience and foreign policy chops out of the whole bunch. I'd just have a lot of trouble getting past his bankrupcy bill vote (yes I know he's in a tough spot in Delaware) and his telling Alberto Gonzales that he was 'the real deal' during his confirmation hearings and voting to confirm him.

2. He did vote against Alito and Roberts
I don't like his bankruptcy vote either.

But the way I look at it, is like my husband. I love him, been married to him for 26 years, but I don't like everything about him either:)

8. And he also spearheaded the effort to get Robert "deranged" Bork
from getting confirmed to the Supreme Court.....It is a very scary thought to imagine where this country would be if Bork was confirmed...

I've said for years that the day Robert Bork's nomination to the Supreme Court was defeated, that day SHOULD be a federal holiday, it's that significant!.....

4. He took me by surprise.
I hadn't thought of him at all as a candidate, and he completely turned me around. I thought he won it tonight.

I don't know if he'll end up being the candidate that I ultimately support in the primaries, but I just sent him a donation to help him stay in. He deserves some recognition.

5. He did great...not surprising...
I was warning folks months ago when he announced that he should not be underestimated...he has a good sense of humor, is very intelligent, and a very good debater...

14. Right, he is smart and has a sense of humor
And his view of Iraq impresses me. He set the mood with his answer about verbosity, ha.

11. I was very grateful to Biden for his fierce stand against John Bolton for
our ambassador to the United Nations.

Other Democrats and even Lincoln Chafee did pretty well here also, and I don't mean to subtract from them.

But Biden was explosively persuasive and made Dick Lugar look like an unprincipled toadie.

12. Beyond Kucinich, the only one that impressed me was Biden.
Edited on Thu Apr-26-07 09:49 PM by mmonk
I guess because everybody else except Gravel and a little disappointment with Richardson's performance, was what I expected with a lot of seemingly staged politics. Biden seemed more prepared to be substantiative.

15. I just might give him some help if his campaign is starved.
Too bad our system of government has come down to this. I think it's pretty much gone now.

18. I just helped out.
I still support Kucinich both for the nomination and financially, but I was impressed enough with Biden to help. He needs to stay in it.

don't worry if he is not the top choice here. You support who you want and feel good about. Stick to your guns.

20. I'd vote for Biden in a heartbeat. IMO he'd make the best President...
But I'm afraid he doesn't have much of a chance because of his past misstatements. The horrid political process sometimes weeds out the ones who would be best at the actual job.

21. Biden for President!
Have long been convinced that he deserves a real shot at the nomination. Seems like it will come down to money, and it is dreadfully sad if that is the case.

Keep fighting Joe!
