45 times, at least, Fredo said he couldn't recall.

But he takes responsibility.

Responsibility?

For what? Shit you don't 'recall'?

And how, exactly, do you plan to 'take responsibility'?

Goddamm fuckin' Republicans ..... say anything to get by, than do whatever the fuck ya wanna.

2. He SAYS he takes responibility...

But he doesn't want to suffer any consequences. Who was the Repub. who said he should resign? Coburn? He's right. It's not enough to SAY you take responsibility and not be held responsible/accountable.

p.s. Olbermann just said he said he does not recall 74 times!

3. Wow and after all of that .....the President still supports him and
thinks that he did a good job today.

If what Gonzalez did today was admirable in the Presidents eyes...then the standard is so low that the US (as most of us knows) is in deep shit.

8. Part of being responsible is
acting responsibly.

And to "accept" (take) responsibility without acting responsibly is to "accept" principle without practicing it. (One is responsible for what one's subordinates do or don't do; a good reason to avoid leadership... if you're a thoughtful, responsible person.)

In short, it's among the basest forms of fraud, hypocrisy, posturing: taking to oneself the mantle of principle, while being unbound by its strictures.

But that's the neocon way, and that of many fellow-travelers.

However, there's plenty of shame, blame, to go around. What sort of nation lets such people grab so much power.
