I lose track but is it now relativly an established fact that Dan Rather's story was in fact correct?

1. His information was correct. The documents were never

completely disproven. He was backed up by Killian's secretary who only said that she didn't recall typing them and didn't think she had but that she knew the information they contained was completely accurate.

Rather was swiftboated and the network execs fell for it.

Funny how we let stories like that dissapear. People can learn from history. Last I had heard about it was that the powers that be were trying to discredit the story based on the type of font used, claiming it was unavailable at that date in history. Of course this was later proved to be not the case .... but the story dropped. Rather was gone and after decades of credible journalism.
I get concerned when I see this media led lynch mob mentality replaying itself ,,, whenever, gets me thinking we need to look deeper. Like the Kerry joke this past year, man were they on that like flies in a feeding frenzy? Easily manipulated is what we have become but I wonder to what end.
