Ron Brownstein claims to be a journalist.



I've always been more than a bit suspect of this guy's neutrality.

Today, on Hairballz, in answering a question about Crazy John's Baghdad stroll in the market, said, as a disclaimer that his works for Crazy John.

Why, since this was likely well known to the Hairballz producers who booked this guy, was he, specifically, asked about McCain?

Makes ya wonder, huh?

1. What's with all these journalists married to political operatives, anyway?

Howard Kurtz is married to a GOP strategist. Matt Cooper to Mandy Grunwald.

It wouldn't bother me so much if these journalists were also working diligently to investigate and expose the powerful elite, their secrecy and privilege, but instead they have been protecting it over many years, so what does that say about the influence their wives have over their coverage?

2. Full Disclosure

In the interest of full disclosure, all pundits and assorted talking heads should have to list all their ties (conflicts of interest) that contribute to the 'viewpoints' they advocate. Brownstein is only one of many, but it is vital information to the viewer/listener/reader.
