Haven't heard any more on this since SMU said "NO, WAY!"

Has he just had too many scandals to deal with lately, or can he not find any takers?

1. Will "My Pet Goat" be among the stack?
I want to see all the gwb43.gov emails, to see if the rumors on the internets are true.

2. "My Pet Goat" & a dictionary

Those e-mails may be why we haven't heard anymore about the "library". You'd think w/a librarian wife this would be a top priority.

But with just the 2 books.......why bother!

4. I think it will be Baylor or TAMU
Edited on Sat Apr-07-07 12:49 AM by benny05
Baylor is near his home, whereas TAMU has the unique position to offer a father-son library of classified documents with blackouts.

Let me be clear: I have respect for TAMU and the Bush Library. It would be unique.

7. So you think he'd want to be "just like daddy"? He may have to ride in on daddy's coattails
to even get a library. Surely Baylor has more sense. SMU was smart to distance themselves. It will be fun to watch whereever it lands.

8. I'm thinking they might decide to house it in an out-of-business
barbeque shack somewhere.

Plenty of room left over for seating.

I know it came out that almost all of the staff hated the idea.

17. Yes. SMU agreed to take the Shrub library
and the right-wing think tank that comes with it.

It will be interesting to see how much will be left
to archive after the BushCo shredders are done.

21. They could just put it in a Bookmobile, have Coulter drive it around
in a halter top to Klan rallies, and Freeper counter-protests. It would look nice next to the rented portolets.

24. One of the local stations here reported it would be at SMU.
They didn't report on the delay and controversy behind it but that's typical. I am sure if it would be a Democrat, there would have had reports on it everyday.

26.  Old joke.
For immediate release: Fire in the white house

A fire in the white house has caused massive damage to the presidential library. Both books have been destroyed. The president is very distraught, as he hadn't finished coloring the second one yet.

By the way, jokes like this, and name-calling, and making fun of the shrub, are all nice and good and useful pressure relief valves. But to win the 2008 election, we have to take the opponent seriously. And as much as we make fun of Pres. Bush, he did win the election twice (maybe using unconventional means, but he is president, and neither Gore nor Kerry are).

NOT NOW, NOT EVER.
