4. Constructive Criticism

If I were handling Kerry, I'd get him a speech coach...and maybe a better speech writer.

Why?

He always sounds like he is "speechifying". The voice doesn't sound natural like it does in an interview. I'd like to see him speak in his "interview voice". He would be much more effective.

His speeches sound too....formal...he needs to lighten up a little bit....and stop all those slogan lines...they sound contrived....

I think this would raise him up a couple of notches.

5. Why should he deny it NOW?

Drudge is an internet rumor peddler. because he got one or two right doesn't mean that he is suddenly a legit news source. If he denies this at this stage he might as well hold weekly news conferences to deny reports by the Weekly world and National Enquirer. You guys need to stop wetting your pants over this.

EXACTLY. Look, folks, the rethugs are desperate: that's why this is "news." Why are they desperate? Because things REALLY ARE THAT BAD and people know it. I think Kerry should confront as quickly as possible and use the tack suggested above.
One last thing: people out there DO remember the last time they were done in out of a good President by the Repuke sexual smear machine. They now resent it. How many apolitical, independent people have you heard sigh over the past four years "I wish we had Clinton back."? Lots, me too. This attack will not work.
