Before the elections heat up too much around here
and before all the regretful comments directed to each other, a word about the concept of "extreme" or "far left" agitators. I speak as one who gets accused of such. First off, remember fellow dems are on the same side. Remember that especially during criticisms against party leader decisions on occasion. Understand that pushing issues or progressing on issues of importance to people may be agitating to some, but progress is not always made by sitting and waiting and staying silent. For example, I can applaud the many legislative efforts of Pelosi for example as well as her gumption and still complain about the impeachment issue. It doesn't mean I don't like her. Everything is not always either or. For some, rights, war issues and remedies will be pushed strongly while others might feel more need to compromise. To harken to another time, was Humphrey more of a democrat than Bobby Kennedy or less of a democrat than him? The answer is neither. The point being is progress and advancement isn't as pretty as one likes. For me, voices not being heard from or ignored by some should not be be lost on the ash heap of compromise.

2. Roger that teammate
No doubt I'm considered a far left agitator by those who are ignorant motherfuckers, who hate our constitution and do not deserve their constitutional liberties. But I'm truly loved here on DU. I'll agitate any fucking conservative till the cows come home, then I'll start all over again.

3. I agree with you
We are not like the "loyal Bushies" where the mantra is "Either your with us or against us".

4. Wow! "Ash heap of compromise" ?
Compromise is the very definition of the art politics. If one is not willing to "compromise" Progress and advancement cannot take place!
I agree that all views should be respected though that is not always the case as , as you succinctly point out, many times there are cases of "more Democratic than thou" which ought not to be tolerated, in my humble opinion.Peace to all of us!

5. Compromise in terms of legislation
has always been there. However, there are people who might not think their liberty or rights should be. They will continue to push and say so. It's all part of the imperfect process as is those without voice to agitate.

6. I echo the point and add that it applies...
...not only to those advocating so-called far left positions, but those some may see as too conservative. I frankly want our candidate to appeal to as broad of a base as possible. To do it, I am willing to accept that popular perception on certain issues is correct to do that.
