1. Three cheers for Obama on pulling this off.
And I hope Al Gore sees this clear signal that the race is wide open.

3. 100,000 contributors plus only $2,000,000
slated for general election use. Hillary won't disclose how much is GE money according to CNN. Plus he didn't start collecting until February 10. That ought to send chills down the backs of Camp Hillary.

5. Release the hounds!
I expect we will see a ratching up of attacks from the usual pack of mongrels, Carville et al.

6. Could be, Julie
I'm also wondering if Hillary's going to extend a hand to Obama and make some plans about him being her VP. "You know...let's be friends. Together we can change the world!" Not to mention being half-way to $100 Mil for campaign marketing.

Who knows!

7. I reckon we will know soon enough.
This evening's talking head shows might give us an indication.

9. "Talking head shows might give us an indication" of what?
Do you really think they know anything for real?

16. It's simple really.
Depends who's on where but.....say they send out Carville tonight. His chosen tact will be a good indication on the current strategy.

We will know their plans by the actions of their advocates/partisans. I mean the real life ones, not their on-line supporters who like to think they know what's going on and believe that what they say matters.

8. And why the hell would he accept?
He's practically beaten her at her own game.

10. Wow!
That's hella of impressive.....

I think analyzing via comparing and contrasting the sources between Obama money and Hillary money will be interesting.

14. Congratulations to him and his campaign.
While it would be nice if less money were used in campaigns, it is good that the media will have even less of a basis for declaring the race over prematurely.

15. I'm not surprised in the least.
Hillary's this year's Joe Lieberman. She's got absolutely nothing going for her except name recognition.

The great thing is how Dems are outpacing republicans in money raising.

17. The wind is at his back
This is FANTASTIC!! Also, it was a clever strategy to wait a couple of days to release the number. That definitely gave this story some extra legs and instead of looking like he 'lost' the first quarter drive to Hillary, Obama's accomplishment is receiving the recognition it deserves.
