Rohrabacher becomes #3 (Gonzo resignation):
The end is nigh!

Rohrabacher becomes #3:

CBS:

More Republicans called for his ouster, and one Republican strategist close to the White House told CBS News that Gonzales is “finished.”

Congressman Dana Rohrbacher became the latest Republican to say Gonzales should go, reports CBS News White House correspondent Jim Axelrod. “Even for Republicans this is a warning sign … saying there needs to be a change,” said Rohrbacher. “Maybe the president should have an attorney general who is less a personal friend and more professional in his approach.”

2. This may be a stupid question
but if Gonzales resigns does this put an end to the investigation. Does he become the "fall guy" for Rove and Chimpy?

12. I don't think so. People are out for blood, or the truth, whichever happens
first.

3. Obstruction is a serious charge. No, Al resigning won't take off the heat
I think that is why the right wingers are bailing out. They rubber stamped the Patriot Act where the attorneys could be replaced without Senate confirmation. Rove's bud was the first in line.

4. That, coupled with the known abuses of the Patriot Act by the FBI, and
that could be what they're running from. I think it all might be exposed finally.

7. Rohrbacher's endorsement, although welcome, carries no
real weight, as his reputation for flubbing the dud and picking the absolute wrong things to support has cemented his disconnect from the real world. His credibility even amongst republickers is minimal so I'm not sure the added heft of his opinion means much.

Witness his typical publicker stance in 1996:

"In the November/December 1996 issue of Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, Rohrabacher was reported as saying that the Taliban were not terrorists or revolutionaries, that they would develop a disciplined society that would leave no room for terrorists, and that the Taliban posed no threat to the United States."(from wikipedia)

8. The point is not whether he knows what the hell he ever talks about, but
the (R) behind his name. Enough R's spell d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r.

10. I guess it must be that pesky "confirmation bias" thing
that humans are the automatic victims of, causing us to believe eleven impossible things before breakfast, remembering only the hits and not the misses. Republidrones (I love that label, contributed by the OP) seem to pe particularly subject to this weird logic.
I can't think of a single republicker who is consistently accurate in his predictions, logic or descriptions of reality. Yet they are still credited with vast credibility. Witness, for instance, Pat Buchanan, who loudly proclaims and believes that Nixon was an honorable man, and who has never been right about anything.
People just aren't the way I think they ought to be. That makes me right and everybody else in the world wrong, I suppose.

11. I hate Rohrbacher
It's a shame that Bill Maher considers him an acceptable guest for his program.
