Gentle reminder - I still haven't seen any media person ask Rice about the July 10th 2001
meeting where the CIA warned her very specifically about Al Qa ida. The moment this story broke she started flying around the world and has never really stopped This is the meeting they called a "10" on a scale of 10. This 10 on a 10 level meeting that she couldn't recall.

I haven't forgotten. Why has the media?

1. good point
they are SUPPOSED to be OUR watchdogs!

Well, stir 'em up. Write tons of them. Nag 'em. Scream "Sic 'em!"

I collected a mailing list of columnists, talking heads, reporters, and such some time back. Probably way obsolete. But we could easily construct such a list here and folks could copy/paste it into a mass LTTE whenever they wanted.

If people just respond to this with whatever they have, I volunteer to collect from the thread and put it into one file I'll post on my webhosting service. It will be a downloadable zipfile, that I'll update/amend periodically. I'll just post a link here and people can bookmark it. or is this already being done somewhere?

Osama was on the FBI's Top 10 Most wanted and was indicted for his role in embassy bombings.
On February 27, 2001, at a White House Press Briefing, the reporter asked:

Q Ari, according to India Globe, the Taliban in Afghanistan, they have offered that they are ready to hand over Osama bin Laden to Saudi Arabia if the United States would drop its sanctions, and they have a kind of deal that they want to make with the United States. Do you have any comments?

MR. FLEISCHER: Let me take that and get back to you on that.

See link to thread with the video link in my sig line.

The White House apparently did nothing.

How's that for failure?

3. They were too busy planning their Iraqi Oil acquisition to be bothered
with Osama bin Laden. Why would they go after the family of George HW Bush's business partner, anyways?

9. Why even bother? I can tell you her response now...
"I have lots of meetings, I don't remember that particular one." or "Hey we were only in office for 8 months, it's Clinton's fault."
