a slurry of thoughts and my letter to Dean
first, sorry the caps, they are in my original. needless to say i feel intensely about these things. i am, you see, an environmentalist.

please say if you don't feel the caps are appropriate to the points they refer to.

second, anyone know someone at BuzzFlash to let them know their mail is being returned, from their mailbox being full? please pass that on, if can? thank you.

the following is a letter i wrote to Howard Dean. first, though, know i am John
Kerry's constituent of near 20 years, voting for him often. i will not vote
for him for president.
they have not slammed him with what they can, so i am certain that
is because they are waiting till it is too late for us to correct our
panicked haste in our Bush-dictated selection of Kerry.

too, the following articles of importance:

Two weeks ago, Kerry beat Howard Dean by 12 percentage points in the New Hampshire primary, convincing Democrats around the country that Kerry was their most electable candidate. How did Kerry win? By racking up a 4-to-1 advantage over Dean among voters who chose their candidate because "he can defeat George W. Bush in November." Among voters who chose their candidate because "he agrees with you on the major issues," Dean and Kerry were tied.

Let me say that again: Among voters who picked the candidate they wanted based on the issues, not the candidate they thought somebody else wanted, Kerry did not win the New Hampshire primary

Kerry Fundraiser Helped Finance Anti-Dean Ads

By Jim VandeHei
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, February 11, 2004; Page A16

Former senator Robert G. Torricelli (D-N.J.), who is raising money for
Democratic presidential front-runner John F. Kerry, contributed $50,000 to a secretive group that ran hard-hitting television ads against Howard Dean in December, a new Federal Election Commission filing shows.

(the OBL ad!)

question, did Kerry know this when accusations were flying and we were all so distressed by it?
if so, do you feel he had an obligation to disavow it? to apologize?

dear Howard Dean,
i saw how tired and dismayed you are. please catch up on some rest, then take the following to heart. you certainly have replenished our hearts over and over again!!!

we are here with you. we will stand with you seeing this battle every bit of the way to the Democratic Convention and BEYOND! we will keep speaking, debating, writing, wailing, crooning your name, your message, your deep dignified soul.
PLEASE GET THERE, EVEN IF YOU MUST STOP, REST AND REGROUP UNTIL THE
CONVENTION!

meanwhile, it is my humble opinion that it is time for you to REALLY shout. your so-called 'scream' scared them. i realize how much, now. this is a test of who - candidate AND supporters - has the passion to do better for this country than let some lying crook-of-the-presidency dictate to us who WE WILL ELECT AS OUR LEADER.

i have written without cease, and will continue to write, that THIS IS TIME TO BE ENRAGED! CHILDREN ARE STARVING IN THIS GROTESQUELY WEALTH-HOARDING SOCIETY!!

FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND UNITED STATES CITIZENS' VOTES WERE STOLEN - STOLEN! WITH MALICE, FORETHOUGHT, AND FOR PERSONAL MATERIAL, POLITICAL, WHITE-SUPREMACIST GAIN!! - TO PUT THIS p/RESIDENT INTO OUR WHITE HOUSE!! YOUR YEEEEEAAAAAHH COULDN'T EVEN COME NEAR WHAT IS APPROPRIATE FOR US TO SHRIEK!!!

get ANGRY for us, as is the only emotion undeniably APPROPRIATE to our
outrageous circumstances.

the vicious inhumanity of the 9/11 atrocity provided us, the whole world, with a momentary glimpse of the deep sympathy and humanity the entire world felt for us here. for that one brief period, all the world expressed abhorrence for that unspeakably heinous crime. in the days and weeks following, all the world would have joined together working to end state-supported international terrorism.

we then agonized as we watched President Bush throw away that UNPRECEDENTED "Peace Dividend!" we have been at war ever since, with no sign of let-up, and evidence it will intensify.

OVER FIVE HUDRED FINE YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE DIED, THOUSANDS MAIMED, WOUNDED IN THAT WAR-FOR-PERSONAL-GAIN; AND MORE DIE ALL THE TIME, EVEN AS THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ADMITS IT WAS NOT NECESSARY!!!
AAAAAEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!
TO WAIL FOR!!!

you knew. you had the courage to speak this first, and alone. snap back at the media that they ignored you then, how many more have died in just that time?! are they so humiliated by being wrong and trying to make you wrong that they will now refuse to acknowledge how we need that vision of YOURS?!

we are suffering national post-trauma syndrome.

we are twitching to rectify our suffering. people on every side of the
issues seethe with inexpressible, unaddressable anger, disappointment and fear.

into such a national climate approaches this general election.

SCREAM in the tones and terms that you always have known best:
WE WILL NOT
WILL NOT
WILL NOT
ALLOW THAT SCHEMING HUSTLER TO STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION FROM US, NOT EVEN BY DICTATING TO US WHICH DEMOCRAT WE WILL SELECT!!

turn around to the media and tell them that they too will NOT dictate who we will ELECT.
tell them to grow up and realize that when the neocon cabal throws our
entire planet and future away, they and their children will be doomed just as fast as we and ours. and we are, Doctor Dean. THIS IS IT FOR THIS PLANET!

IT IS WORTH SCREAMING FOR!!
AND THEY ARE BASHING YOU SO SEVERELY NOW, I CAN SEE NOTHING BUT IMPROVEMENT POSSIBLE FROM YOUR STANDING, TOWERING, ON OUR BEHALF -
TALLER THAN YOU EVER HAVE BEFORE!!

you tell them that, "YES! GENERATION DEAN OF ALL CULTURES, CREEDS, COLORS, GENDERS, 'KIIIINDS' IS GOING TO HAVE THIS SAY BECAUSE YES, IT IS THEIR FUTURE WE HAVE ALL WASTED!!"

PLEASE KEEP ON, GOVERNOR DEAN!! WE NEED YOU WE NEED YOU HOW WE DO NEED YOU!!

there is more, much more i would say if i could. i am working on some
stronger letters to editors, wishing there could have been any way to
imagine what would have happened in the greedy egomaniacal media by now!
meanwhile, give us time and we will keep on waking vision! i have seen many coming AWAKE!!

with most profound admiration, i ask you to rest up, then come forth
fighting for all that is humane and conscionable!!!

3. Never Give Up! Never!
The fight must go on. The freedoms that the soldiers are said to be giving their lives for in Iraq are being squandered here in a country where people are just too damn lazy to stand up and demand a choice. Just as Saddam held the Iraqi people in captivity the American people are too blind to see that they are being held too, by fear and ignorance...
