When scrub said "Bring him (Osama) in dead or alive" I guess he was referring to

Very few people heard what he said immediately before "dead or alive". It went like this...."Osama Bin Laden....aw shucks....dead or alive."

This would be like a cancer drug company putting out a vaccine that cured or prevented cancer. The company would never do it because it would put itself out of business.

You can't fix the reason for your very existence, or you become useless.

If Bushco killed Bin Laden, many would begin clamoring for us to draw back some of the Patriot Act bullshit, and around the world countries would become instantly less patient with our bullshit, because the immediate cause for it would be dead.

The real reason we will never kill him though is that he and his group are in Pakistan, and if we attack them there, Pakistan becomes our third war (or fourth if we have started Iran). Then, Musharraf would be killed or tossed out by extremists pissed at his cooperation in allowing the US to attack Pakistan, and shortly thereafter there would be a complete CRAZY al qaeda proxy prez in Pakistan with nuclear weapons. We can't do that, clearly, and even the idiots at the White House can see that, so they continue to do NOTHING.

Must be frustrating being in Afghanistan, knowing you have NO CHANCE AT ALL in finding bin laden or any other significant target there anymore, yet you still get to be shot at.
