Might the British withdrawal have something to do with the Iraq 'Oil Law'?
Edited on Wed Feb-21-07 11:25 AM by harlinchi
It has been at least rumored that up to 75% of future Iraqi oil revenues might be targeted for the US and multi-national oil companies. I'm sure much turmoil is occurring as a consequence of that obscene percentage. Might the proposed law, as it is currently proposed, exclude Britain to the extent that they no longer feel they have a dog in this fight or is that thought just a little bit tin-foilish?

I'm just wondering if Britain found that they won't be able to loot and pillage to the degree they thought they would be. It would be hard to justify another British death if they aren't even going to get an 'oil benefit'!

1. There is definitely something going on...
...because Britian's endorsement of Iraq has been a cornerstone of Junior's Iraq PR bonanza.

How many times has Junior reminded us that Britan is "on board"? How many times has Junior
trodded out Blair, and used him to make the war sound reasonable and sane?

British withdrawal is happening for some very significant reasons.

Blair knows that this doesn't bode well for Junior. Blair has always kow towed to
Junior, so something changed.

Maybe Blair doesn't agree with what they're about to do in Iran?

4. What I Heard
I thought I heard B** say that Tony is doing the right thing, that they are pulling the troops out as the Iraqis step up.

Does he really think we are all stupid? Tony is pulling his troops out, and the SURGE will fill in.
