Who shall replace Norwood?

I'm not sure exactly how the laws in Georgia apply to an elected official dying in office. From what I can tell the seat is just vacant, so it may very well stay that way till 08. Anyone know how deceased elected officials are replaced in Georgia and who may, or will, replace Norwood and fulfill his term? Personally, I'd hope they'd offer the position to his wife first. I think that ought to be the law of the land. Spouse first, if she/he denies, then whoever the person appointing them would like.
