5. Now I'm really confused. I AM descended from slaveholders, but only one

tiny branch of my dad's family, way back in the late 1700s. Because none of my other ancestors that I have researched held slaves, does this also make me "not really white"? If all my known ancestors were slaveholders, then maybe I could claim that honor?

Oh well. I'm sort of pinkish and tan and off-white in various places anyway. Pure white is boring, and extremely cancer-prone.
