Mark Warner not running for Senate in 2008?
Edited on Fri Feb-09-07 09:24 AM by SaveElmer
This report is totally uncorroborated, so take it with a grain of salt...but if true...Democrats are gonna have to find themselves a new candidate...

COuld mean Warner would rather get his old job as Governor back, which means Dems like Brian Moran and Creigh Deeds who want to run for Gov., may have to rethink their plans as well. Moran is a rising star and maybe could give John Warner a run!

5. Senate
I agree, he would be an excellent Senator. A might middle of the road politically, but an excellent candidate.

6. Warner has likely been promised shortlist by Clinton, and that's why he dropped out -

7. It would be easier to run for Pres as a 2 term gov. than a Senator

8. Scuttlebut is...
He really enjoyed being Governor...and is hoping the legislature will repeal the law that says Governors cannot succeed themselves in office...
