Poll question: Who do you think should be the nominee? *post Clark edition*
Well another one bites the dust. I think it is hardest for the ones on this board the love all out canidates as the plane narrows. I'd love to see 'em all in the oval office (can you imagine THAT party)!

I can only hope Clark either takes Sec. of Defsense or Sec. of State.

But where do DUers lie with one less contender?

3. Wes is done
Other than Madonna taking Holy Orders, the last thing I expect to see happen is for Clark to be offered a position in any Kerry administration. He might just as well plan to stay at home, make some speeches and play with the grandkid.

A VP slot is out of the question as well, and I doubt he would even consider it if it were offered. Kerry/Edwards is the most likely configuration and would make sense in a Batman/Robin sort of way.

Not that it would make much difference. If Kerry wins the nomination and wins the election it will only mean the minor aberration of George Bush would have been brought to an end. Reversing and eliminating the harm Bush has done will take a level of leadership this nation has not seen for decades, possibly not since Truman left office.

Even if it was his inclination to do so, the likelihood of Kerry succeeding, or even really trying, is close to zero. He, like many others, consider the problem to be Bush himself, not the system that Kerry was so much a part of establishing.

Clark wanted change; Kerry wants restoration to the way things were.

He will be a great improvement over Bush (so would that famous ham sandwich) but the underlying problems will not be addressed.

8. I Agree, I don't think we'll see Clark
in a Kerry administration.

Clark was always an outsider.

I hope Wes Clark goes back to Little Rock & writes another book, something along the line of "What I Saw on My Way to the White House".
And I hope we hear all the dirty stuff about what really went on during the campaign. Someone needs to tell the truth, & I think Wes
is the guy to do it.

14. I cannot believe that those who found the military aspect so
important in their votes would ever vote Kerry over Clark. The two are so different.

4. What clark does now is the OMEN
Of whether the democratic party will splinter or come together this year. I deeply hope he joins his own party's administration, speaks to this effect, and takes the secdef/secstate job. His career and strenght can truly come to bear for all of us, and though his ego might be dented by not being in the top spot, if he can see straight towards not putting his ego in front of the american people... that would be cool.

6. This poll...

...certainly is not a reflection of, uh, reality. Dean beating Kerry by 10 points? LOL!

Forgot to add the very "real" idea of DK polling 23%.

21. haha...
The language DU makes me want to use sometimes is just... horrible...

I'm am sure "BITE ME" was toning it down but I could help but picturing Gandhi
saying what you just said in response to the above poster. (cause of your Gandhi icon)

"I'm usually very polite but BIT ME!"

::chuckle::

24. haha...
Funny story actually... So we're down in Iowa during labor day and my dad goes to the bathroom at the state fair ground where Braun, Kucinich, Graham, and Edwards spoke. He pulls up to the urinal and has an akward moment where he is trying to place the guy next to him. It's non other then John Edwards!

HA! After he was done and had washed his hands (Edwards) he went to the mirror and did his hair!

: ) So at least we know he is human!
