Dear Federal Legislator,
I know it's etiquette to address members of the Senate and Congress as "Honorable," but, in the interest of asserting my First Amendment rights, I do not think you deserve to be addressed as Honorable. Cowardly, yes, but not Honorable.
I am an American citizen and taxpayer. I am also a female disabled veteran who has served my country honorably during the course of several enlistments -- unlike most of you war-mongering chickenhawks.
Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you. You sit there in DC in your plush white ivory tower, paid in part by me, and you profess to be so patriotic and accuse those like me who are vehemently opposed to this war of being cowards and unAmerican. How dare you? How dare you be so condescending and so anti-American? How dare you be so arrogant to think that only your perverted, immoral ideology is the only ideology that is worthy?
Not only have you abrogated your lawful duties to be defenders of the rule of law and the Constitution, you are also enabling your president -- no, he is NOT my president -- to break the law based on his personal whims.
Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you. The blood of America's sons and daughters is on your hands and you will never be able to wash it off. If you think you are being brave by interfering with the right of the people and the will of the people to be followed, you are so mistaken. Your politically motivated tactics of obstructionism will ensure you lose elections for the next several years.
I still believe in the oath I took when I raised my right hand and swore I would defend America against all enemies -- foreign and domestic.
How pathetic all of you are who are thwarting the desire and the will of the majority of the American people.
