No "All OF The Above," or "Other - Peace Specify" BS. It might be hard, but force yourself to pick ONE:

Experience with crappy judgment is useless.

It is the most important quality IMO.

Definition:

judg·ment also judge·ment (jjmnt)
n.
1. The act or process of judging; the formation of an opinion after consideration or deliberation.
2.
a. The mental ability to perceive and distinguish relationships; discernment:
Fatigue may affect a pilot's judgment of distances.
b. The capacity to form an opinion by distinguishing and evaluating: His judgment of fine music is impeccable.
c. The capacity to assess situations or circumstances and draw sound conclusions; good sense: She showed good judgment in saving her money. See Synonyms at reason.

I so agree with you on that one! And that is my main #1 problem with Mr. Edwards regarding his FP views.

8. Good judgement.
You can be highly intelligent, and still have abysmal judgement. There are several current candidates who posses that quality IMO.

14. The ability to communicate a compelling message to the public.
When you get down to it, this is the most important quality needed for getting elected, and the most important quality needed for getting an agenda passed after the election. That is the most important.

Background experience and all the rest don't amount to much. The Republicans understand this better than we do.

Without honesty, an intelligent person can easily lead the country down the wrong path.

30. The old cliche of "mean what you say, and say what you mean" still applies
We may not vote for an honest candidate because we don't agree with his/her positions, but we will respect the honesty.

Enough of warmongering delusions, nuances, and triangulations.

Truman's "plain speaking" comes to mind!

33. There isn't one.
There isn't one MOST important quality. There are many, and removing even one of them leaves a flawed whole, in my opinion.

Here are SOME of the important qualities:

intelligence, empathy, courageous integrity, humility, good judgement, experience in government, highly-evolved perspective.
