I will ONLY vote for Obama, primary or general.
Obama is the only one who smokes. All the others could take away my right to smoke and not even blink about it. Look at what the DLC has handed us in the past:

Bill Clinton: does not smoke

Al Gore: does not smoke, says smokes are causing greenhouse cases

Joe Lieberman: against smoke (notice all the other candidates are exactly the same as Lieberman on this point, who is exactly the same as the Republicans on 90% of the issues)

John Kerry: does not smoke, smoked marijuana but QUIT

I will not vote for smoke bigots. Period. I wills tand up for my rights. I will not be silenced or pushed aside to gain the majority who are offended by smoke.

Smoke while you are doing it.

3. Did not Chicago pass recently a smoking ban?
Did not they pass a fois gras ban after that?

Did they not put cameras up to film street corders?

Did they not put up peoples pictures for getting arrested for pristitution solicitation, not convicted byt just arrested, on the world wide web network without being conviceted of a crime?

First they came for the smokers...

I work in affordable housing, homelessness prevention, and have assisted Katrina evacuees.

Way to give eth encouragement oiut.

Some people might have so many words to say that they dont have time to go back and correct minor mistakes, there time is so valuable. its been said that Bill gates could drop $10000 on the ground and it would not be worth his time to pick it up because he could be doing something more valuable than that in the time that it takes to pick it up. You have nto considered that I might be like that but withwords and spelling.

And I can't mock the "homeless" if I don't know someone is homeless and mock them because of their belligerence.

Again fois gras is barbaric.

Edit: I should add that the majority of homeless are not illiterate the are simply (The result of a shitty capitalist system I'd like to add) just having economic problems. They are probably not concerned with fois gras:-)

70. Barely. Some States want to ban smoking in cars...in public...
Being that I stopped smoking on November 28, 2006 (just two months ago) after having puffed for 27 years (was 17 but in Europe, smoking was a right of passage into adulthood in the late 70's!), I'm really not affected by any ban, any more, yet I still think it's against all I believe is sacred to "censure" anyone's right to a smoke.

I'm also against the making illegal of marijuana--an herb that hasn't hurt a soul, unlike alcohol, and tar and nicotine.

I just think we, as a so-called "intelligent species", with our greatest "weapon" being our brain, should use that god-given gift, and instead of forcing our will on our fellow man/woman, we should rather opt to educate and explain why people shouldn't smoke, or shouldn't smoke while driving, or shouldn't smoke around children, for example.

As for my having stopped with smoking and having suffered ZERO craving attacks since---look up "Glutothione Pleolyposome", a sweet substance that has proven to detoxify the blood, and lungs of cancer, according to a 10 year study.

Using glutothione pleolyposome to kick my strong nicotine habit without suffering even a minute of cravings was the best discovery I've ever made.

Not sure I'd relinquish the right to vote in exchange for a mere statement of claiming the right to self-destruct, though.

Plus, being a non-smoker doesn't equate being a smokenazi. No, really. So, I think you might rally more understanding if you'd somehow tweak that wee bit of distinction into your discourse.

And you pick a young first term senator that hardly anyone has heard of until recently. And who has little or no experience in international politics.

How about Wes Clark who was first in his class at West Point, was a Rhodes Scholar, spent 33 years in service to our country in the military, has plenty of international experience as commander of NATO, and I could go on and on about his qualifications.

I've heard of taking away guns, but not peoples smokes. And I've heard of voting for someone you could imagine having a beer with, but not who you could smoke with.

Both examples (guns and who you could down a beer with) gave us *

I just think in this time of war, with healthcare crumbling, and other problems...cigarettes isn't an important issue.

Especially since NO President will probably be successful in removing your precious smokes in the near future.

Of course not, I would hope!!

Your logic is missing. The President just can't wake up in the morning, and ban smoking. He just can't. And no Presidential candidate supports banning it, and will ban it. Not in this generation anyway.

is the vote so valuable as in America. In other countries variaos third parties have lobbied for the soft wstance of hainving instanct runoff voting so people can vote for eho they want first and then who is goint to win sicond, so the second parties win the elections and the third get to think they might win and never do.

HERE if you lose my vote, as the democrats will if they nominate who doesn't smoke, you lose it, you do notget a second chance at it

55. Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Wes Clark.....
The list goes on and on of our Democratic candidates...

They will not take your right to smoke away. None of them are running on the platform to do so, and no President in recent memory has tried to do so. And why are you so concerned? You said you don't even smoke. Do you realize the President doesn't have the authority to just ban smoking?

If you don't support Bush, then you refuse to apply your same logic with smoking to drinking. Why aren't you supporting Bush because he's the former drunk and won't take away your right to drink. Saying you will support ONLY Obama because you seem for sure he won't ban smoking and cigarettes is logic less.

Vote for whomever you like, when ever you like. It's America, you have the right.

But I must say your case for why you will vote the way you will is weak, and hilarious in that it lacks logic and makes no sense.

58. Will you change if Edwards or HRC takes up smoking?
Might help them withstand the stress of campaign.

66. I worry more about Obama with the DLC than Gore...
Gore WAS a part of the DLC earlier, but he's pretty much broken away from them now! In some respects I trust him moreso having gone through that experience, because I think he knows what kind of influences they try to wield over politicians.

Obama still is an unknown quantity yet for me. He has the right charisma, which is good and doesn't knock him out, but I still am concerned about the substance of his voting record, and also that he's getting pushed so hard right now by the media, etc. I'd like to find who's funding the various campaigns of the current candidates now to get a clue as to what some of the hidden agendas might be.

71. You should be free to smoke if you want. But of course this country is so full of fascists ....
that they are even taking that right away. Or taxing the hell out of smokers.

Why don't they make corporate lobbying illegal. Smoking is the least of our problems. But fascists will be fascists.
