Poll question: Presidential preference poll
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 11:21 PM by Bleachers7
I know it's early and there are a lot of wounds. I am sad too. But Clark hs been dominant at DU since Dean's confederate flag mishap. Who would you vote for for the Democratic Nomination?

But I'm finally narrowing my choices down. Whomever I vote for will be someone with a promising agenda, an individual who I think can defeat the President, and someone who will go to the convention with some delegates. In other words, if my vote doesn't help determine who wins delegates in my primary..why even vote?

With two weeks to go, I have narrowed my choices down to just three..Dean, Kucinich, and Kerry. May the best candidate win!

3. Kerry
But I like Edwards a lot as well. I have problems with both of them but nobody's perfect.

4. None of the above.
Hit "other" by mistake. I'll vote for Kerry or Edwards in the GE, but neither is getting my vote in the primary. I'd vote for DK, but I'm tired of protesting (I've voted for Jerry Brown and Jesse Jackson as protests). Evidently no one is paying attention, so screw it.

11. Kerry- It's all about winning the White House...
and the voters seem to be speaking rather loudly.

Can't argue with success.

let the battle for Veep begin.

19. The voters don't know Kerry's record
There is a thread in DU that reveals that Kerry supports Plan Colombia.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=308312

Kerry supports the Iraq war, PATRIOT, ban on gay marriage, NAFTA, globalization, and Plan Colombia.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry wants to topple Chavez in Venezuela!

Kerry already told the Washington Post that he won't change US policy
towards Cuba without checking first with the Miami Cubans.

Kerry is pandering to the criminal Miami Mafia, the same people that supported the kidnapping of Elian Gonzales by his crazy Miami uncle.

This part of Kerry's answer is particularly obnoxious:

Sen. John Kerry: "I am not prepared to lay down conditions at this time for lifting the embargo, because I believe that we need a major review of U.S. policy toward Cuba. That review must be conducted with other countries in the region, with Cuban Americans, and, to the best of our abilities, those in Cuba who are fighting for greater political liberties."

33. That pandering
to Miami kidnappers was the straw that broke the camels back as far as my being able to support Gore in 2000.

That being said, I'm a pragmatist at heart, and probably prefer to see Kerry get the nomination even though I find many things about him unpalatable. My hate for Bush is stronger than any problems that I have with any Dem candidates at this point.

If I donate to another campaign before everything is decided, it would only be to Kucinich. I feel that his voice needs to continue to be heard on the campaign trail and at the convention.

12. Amazing that anyone put Dean
Would you really be able to stand the endless "YEEEAARRGH!" that would play from every TV and radio nonstop until November, or the crushing defeat we would suffer?

Dean was very electable up to the "dixie flag" flub, somewhat electable up to the scream, but it is OVER now.

Lordy, i live in kentucky and not only do i see trucks with confed flags on them all the time, but a few have car horns that play dixie. its a reality. sorry he had the balls to say it!

He's still on the ballot so he'll still get my vote. I'll vote ABB in November, but Clark gets my primary vote. Period.

34. Your lucky
that you still get to vote for him, I wish I did. The Republicans in my state took away our primary, and we don't have our caucus until April. I figure that everything will be pretty much decided by then.
