My view of the candidates (Republican version)
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 05:26 PM by BlueStater
Back in December, I posted my opinion of the Democratic candidates and their status as far as who was running, who was not running, etc. Well, now I'm going to post my feelings on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Already Announced:

Sam Brownback
Duncan Hunter

Not a real good start for the GOP as far as candidates go, huh?

Very likely they'll run:

John McCain
Rudy Giuliani
Newt Gingrich
Mitt Romney

Rudy and Newt's egos are too big for them not to run. They'll go for it even if they don't have much of a chance.

Extremely likely they won't run:

Rick Santorum
George Allen
Jeb Bush

After losing their seats, Ricky and George don't have much of a political future left. And Jebbie's promising future has been essentially destroyed by his dumbass of a brother.

Not Running:

Bill Frist

Unknown:

Jim Gilmore
Tommy Thompson
Tom Tancredo

Anyone ever hear of these guys? Who are they?

5. You're correct
Jim Gilmore is the idiot who pretty much ruined our economy with his ridiculous "No Car Tax!!1!!" platform. David Gilmour is the lead guitarist for Pink Floyd, and quite frankly, I would much rather vote for him.

4. You may want to reconsider your position on Jeb, his ego would
swallow up Rudy and Newt's ego and still hunger for more. Besides, I am sure Jeb "has some devious plans".
