All Three of My Favorites are running now. What do I do now?
John Edwards, Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama. I like them all. And I like Clark, too, if he jumps in.

We certainly have some really good people to choose from this time.

So now who do I support? Guess I will wait and see what shakes out here. I kind of like Edwards the best. Probably because I feel like I know more about him than the others.

This is going to be hard!

1. I like Obama
But you're right, this is a hard choice. At least we know that whomever the nominee is, we'll be in good shape.

4. I like Obama, too. He's kind of like a warm wind blowing thru.
Kind of reminds me of Clinton when he first got going - talk about a dark horse. But Obama has the same charisma and smarts.

2. I'm With You
I guess we have to support the one that can win! More important than having "my" favorite is having someone who will be America's favorite.

16. Edwards/Obama sounds good to me. Sounds like a ticket that
could actually do really well out here in the Midwest.

3. I think we should be happy that we have some articulate, gifted Democrats
that have thrown their hat in the race.

My gosh, CNN just said the election is a year from November, finally this long national nightmare will be over.

And Bush is just looking more and more pathetic with every move he makes.

We should have no problem getting a really strong, good Democrat in this time.

I know what you mean. It's going to be hard to figure out who my money, time and effort will go to. Oh well, at least we have a good field.

8. These people all make me really proud to be a Democrat.
After such a long fight we really came out on top - we came out the good guys. Remember when the Republicans thought they would control the govt for the next 50 years? That was awful.

may things can change, positions will solidify and.. so far only Edwards is an actual candidate. Obama and Clinton are only "exploring."

11. Clinton came out this morning and said she is in - and in to win.
Sounds pretty sure.

I'm glad she is running. Even if she doesn't make it - and she might get killed out here in the Midwest.

But it is just great to see so many really good women candidates coming out of the woodwork.

And almost all of them are Democrats, I think.

Is he too far to the Left for a lot of people?

Actually, I'm a lot further to the left than most of these candidates. But that is all right. I vote for the moderates.

30. At the risk of fueling anti-Hillary flames
Edited on Sat Jan-20-07 06:11 PM by bobbiejo
...and this is just "gut level" thinking. I believe the untouchable ticket for '08 is Clinton/Obama....Depending of course on how the primaries play-out. This is the ticket that cannot be beat IMO. This combo would balance the ticket nicely, not to mention pave the way for Obama to take the WH, completely eliminating the "no experience" factor. I believe Hillary would make a brilliant president for many reasons. Obama has much to offer in his own right. We'll see....

Ok...flame away. :hi:

Of these I think Hillary would draw the most criticism, but personally think she'd be one of the Best in History, just like Bill.

31. The obvious opportunity for a Democratic shoe-in in 2008 may create too many candidates.
We need to agree to support one strong candidate. We can't let the vote get split below Republican totals.

32. True, we will need to agree on a candidate...
But not NOW. I haven't made up my mind yet. I want to see the debates, who else runs, etc. As many have said in this thread, we have a lot of talent out there. However, once someone wins the primaries, I'll work my ass off for whoever that is.

34. I think
Obama, Edwards and Clark would all have a great chance regardless of the Repubs nominee. I think Hillary would have a difficult time but I wouldn't totally count her out and although she is not my favorite, I hate the way she is trashed on DU. I wish we could have more positive posts like this one. Thank you.
