Pelosi was better than Rove today, managing her image --
I'm watching to see if she gets credit for her political skill, as Rove got credit for presenting Bush as a Texas rancher/cowboy (unlike Pelosi's, a false image) -- or if she's criticized by the pundits for emphasizing her Baltimore roots and her years as a Mom, and for gathering the children around her at the Speaker's podium.

In any case, she introduced herself to the nation today in the best possible way. House Speaker Pelosi was magnificent!

2. She was brilliant, and that's pretty much all I've heard from the talking
heads today. I can't even compare her to Rove; she's representing the Democratic party, but also introducing herself. She did a fine job! I also heard mention of all the kids at the event; a stroke of genius!

5. Emphasizing to the country that she will fight for the future of it's children
and bringing it home by surrounding herself with children during the most important moment of her life. It looked spontaneous, whether or not it was, and it just hit the right note.

6. Joe Scarborough was full of praise for her ......
I'm gunna be grossly paraphrasing his comments, but I hope it gives a sense of what he said .....

He first said he was in the House chamber today, in the back. He was predisposed to sit on his hands but found himself clapping and cheering in spite of himself.

He also said the thing with the kids was 'schmaltzy, cheesy, and absolutely prefect.' He said he wished 'we' (meaning the Repugs) had done it a long time ago.

Yup, wall to wall praise for her performance today.

9. Today was a historic day and Pelosi was splendid!
Not to mention, that she made us all proud, our first woman Speaker!

Let's savor the moment because next week the Decider is going to unveil his newest nightmare for the nation.
